Dixie Tavern Tray
DIMENSIONS: 10" w.x 13" l. x 2" h. Shown Gloss Green tri color
This pattern was salvaged from a Hurricane Katrina damaged building that took on about 8 feet of water. This ceiling tin panel was out on the street with all the rest of the gutted buildings contents. The former business that inhabited this building was called the Dixie Tavern. To honor this lost business, I have kept the politically incorrect original name.
Serving trays are made with the same patterns we source for our tile line. Mostly these are pressed tin ceiling panels I have collected over the years. Soft clay slabs are embossed with pattern then draped over forms to stiffen. The resulting piece offers the best of both worlds – a “tile” with volume to hold and contain your favorite things.
Please take a look at our Specialty Glazing drop down menu to view more glaze finish options for this piece. The Victoria Tray may also be ordered in any of our 16 Standard colors
